Product Introduction
NicoIet Evolution 300 is a new generation product carefully crafted based on 60 years of experience in producing UV visible spectrophotometers from leading manufacturers in the UK and the US. Reliable technology and new platforms will stand undefeated in the competition.
Optical Design:
The Nicolet Evolution 300 adopts a cast aluminum optical base, with optical components directly fixed on the base, resulting in extremely high system stability. Even in harsh environments, the quartz coating on the surface of optical components and the sealed optical system can still prevent energy attenuation. A large mirror with a reflectivity of 90% and a single Ebert monochromator maximize energy output. The holographic grating has excellent stray light performance and can measure samples with absorption values up to 6A.
The step driven grating ensures wavelength accuracy and measurement repeatability. The macro driver stays at each data point, eliminating peak distortion and wavelength drift caused by traditional designs.
The Nicolet Evolution 300 adopts a non continuous slit with photo etched edge and a geometrically optimized Ebert monochromator, ensuring good bandwidth repeatability. The incident slit and exit slit are installed on a single module, ensuring wavelength accuracy at all bandwidths.
The performance of Nicolet Evolution 300 is evaluated by a built-in diagnostic system, which facilitates quick confirmation of whether the instrument can always meet the specifications.
Calibration verification system:
Before leaving the factory, each instrument must be calibrated with the emission lines of the mercury spectrum to ensure absolute wavelength accuracy across the entire wavelength range.
Like many laboratories, you need to prove that your instrument specifications are within the standards set by regulations. Our instrument has an intelligent evaluation device (CVC) that includes calibrated wavelength and absorbance filters - they are secondary calibration reference materials (Certified Reference Materials, abbreviated as CRMs). Calibrate using NPL1 or NIST2 standards through our own ISO 17025 standard verification procedure. Thermo's UKAS3 and NVLAP4 validated recalibration laboratory can perform recalibration work for you.
The intelligent instrument calibration test unit (CTU) can be permanently installed in the optical system of beam focusing. It can provide unattended automatic instrument calibration checks, which can be traced back to NPL and NIST standards through CVC calibration, enabling the instrument to meet various regulatory requirements. Thermo can provide and calibrate a range of NIST and NPL secondary calibration reference materials and calibration materials for manual testing of all UV and visible spectrophotometers.
Thermo's UV Vis calibration laboratory also produces raw reference materials that meet NIST requirements.
System control:
Nicolet Evolution 300 offers two control modes: local control and computer control.
Local control: For laboratories that require compact structure, simple operation, high performance, and built-in methods of instruments, the Nicolet Evolution 300 local control system is the most ideal choice. The instrument features an integrated VGA quality color LCD display and a sturdy touch keyboard. Nicolet Evolution 300 is compatible with various printers and offers the option of built-in printers. The data and methods can be stored in the instrument's memory or on a standard floppy disk. The data can also be output to the LIMS system or to an external PC through the RS232 interface. In addition to a range of standard features, the Nicolet Evolution 300 native control version also offers software options for several life science specific methods.
PC Control: VISIONpro and VISIONsecurity are the basic PC software platforms of Nicolet Evolution 300. These software follow Thermo's UV Vis software development guidelines and comply with FDA guidelines and IEEE software engineering standards.
VISIONpro is a standard software that features advanced scanning, single wavelength and multi wavelength measurement, as well as single component and multi-component quantitative analysis.
VISIONsecurity has all the features of VISIONpro, in addition to meeting the requirements of Pharmacopoeia 21 CFR Part 11 regulations. The software provides multi-level security management, control access, traceable records, and electronic signatures.
VISIONlife, as an optional module for VISIONpro or VISIONsecurity, adds dynamics, parallel ratios, DNA denaturation, advanced enzyme kinetics, and equation modeling.
Nicolet Evolution 300 software package also includes VISION Chroma for chromaticity measurement; Dsolve (compliant with Pharmacopoeia 21 CFR Part 11 series) is used for dissolution studies; And specialized software for food enzyme analysis and alcohol analysis.
Intelligent attachments:
The intelligent accessories equipped with Evolution 300 provide an unparalleled level of automation, making sample injection easier and featuring automatic identification and flexible calibration. Serial number reporting can save you time and improve analysis efficiency. Smart accessories are plug and play, no need for adjustment.
